Hello to my brothers and sisters in Christ! I’m The Little Flower, a teenage Catholic girl. I can’t wait to start sharing my stories and advice with you.
I’m currently a junior in high school at a small public high school. As far as my vocation goes, right now I feel the call to married life. I’m always open to what God has to tell me! Since I’m a junior, I’ll be taking the ACT this year, going on college visits, and trying to figure out what God wants me to do. Currently, I feel the call to study Apologetics at Franciscan University of Steubenville. I had an amazing experience in discovering what college I’m being called to go to.
I attended Alive in You in early July. On the night of confession, the orchestra pit was set up as a prayer area. You could sit in a chair and be prayed over or you could set your hands on someone sitting and pray for them. After praying over people for about 45 minutes, I decided to sit down. I asked those around me to pray for my vocation. I felt so close to God in the ten minutes I was sitting down. I got up and thanked those around me.
One of the people praying over me was a seminarian. He told me that he kept hearing God say, “Do not be afraid.” I began to cry. I’m so afraid of going to Franciscan because it’s eight hours away from home for me. That was the main thing holding me back from going there. I thanked and hugged him.
Then, not a minute later, a girl entered the prayer area. She walked right up to me, saw and pointed at my Franciscan University sweatshirt and said, “Oh my gosh, you have to go there!” and then walked away. I guess God decided that He had to make it very obvious to me! I stood there in awe. That was God directly talking to me and it felt amazing.
I thank you all so much for reading my story. To contact me with any questions or if you just want to talk, email me! My address is firstname.lastname@example.org
