Hello, beautiful children of The Lord!
I am so ecstatic to be speaking to you through this blog. The love of Our Lord is truly indescribable; it can do marvelous things. I look forward to sharing my faith with you.
My name is Viola Joan. I absolutely love being Catholic. I can honestly say that it is the best thing about me. Although my efforts could never add up to anything near perfection, I strive to live justly for The Lord, and when I falter, He is my guide.
In the words of Tim Tebow, “I do not know what my future holds, but I know the One who holds it.” The vocation I feel most pulled to is the married life. I suppose that I will only know for sure when I meet that special man. I will do whatever The Lord asks of me, but I feel that the best way for me, personally, to serve Him would not be through the religious or single life.
You can tell a lot about a person by their ambition, their hopes and dreams. I am a small town girl with big city dreams. My first dream is to be accepted into the University of Notre Dame. After school, I hope to move to New York City. These aren’t just whimsical wishes; I feel that God has guided me to those places. The first time I visited ND and NYC, I felt the unmistakable feeling of home. I knew that the Holy Spirit was with me, He was tugging me there. No dream is too big, with the help of Our Lord.
I firmly believe that God holds the future; we needn’t worry about it. But making dreams come true requires heavy planning and working. I am, fortunately and unfortunately, an ambitious workaholic. I plan for a brighter tomorrow.
But today, I am in high school. Coming from a Catholic private school background, I am always wishing that there were a Catholic high school in my area. I take what my public school has to offer, but nothing can replace the atmosphere in a Catholic school: the undeniable sense of the Holy Spirit. However, I try to find God in all of my surroundings. Being a Catholic, or a strong believer in any religion defiant of the secular world, in public high school means you are challenged sometimes, but every struggle is worth it.
As for my activities and hobbies, I am an avid reader and lover of film. When I listen to music, it’s the good stuff. I play the acoustic guitar and sing sometimes. Being fashionable is a lifestyle. If it’s related to NYC, I love it. I do a lot of volunteer work, and I am involved in numerous clubs and organizations through my school. And, I play tennis on my high school team.
But enough about me. At the end of the day, it’s all about Him.
Strive for sainthood!
